FILIP ANTONI MALINOWSKI
I’m a film director, screenwriter, film producer & photographer among other things I do.

Myself, born in Poland, educated and active in Vienna and Berlin. Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, but early on turned towards documentary film-making and social photography. I learned photographing not at school but on the streets and I do make pictures out of simple joy of spectating, discovering and being immersed in the now – and first of all: connecting with other wonderful human beings and the space we all share. Here I document my private life of the last two decades and share what I’m part of – feel free to have a look. Photos shot mainly on an old Sony A7R with a manual Leica Summicron 40mm 2.0,  later on Fujifilm XT-3 with 27mm 2.8. Older analogue images made on Hasselblad 500, Pentax 6×9, Fujifilm 690 or Canon EOS.

You fill up the frame with feelings, energy, discovery, and risk, and leave room enough for someone else to get in there. Joel Meyerowitz

The picture is not made by the photographer, the picture is more good or less good depending on the relationship that you have with the people you photograph. Sebastiao Salgado

I’m curious. Period. I find everything interesting. Real life. Fake life. Objects. Flowers. Cats. But mostly people. If you keep your eyes open and your mind open, everything can be interesting. Agnes Varda

I’m a documentary photographer. That’s what I’ve always wanted to be; that’s where my heart and soul is. Mary Ellen Mark
